I used to get one new phone book once a year and that was it. Now I'm getiing them three or four times a year from different companies. What a waste of trees! They all have the same info in them and I'm not paying for them so there can't be much competition. Just one more thing clogging up my recycling bin.

we get one from the phone company we suscribe to, a second one comes from a business who makes money by selling advertising in the yellow pages and a third one comes from our city who makes a smaller edition just with residential listings. all of the lisitings come directly from the main telephone carrier so it is duplicate info. the only difference is who advertises in the yellow pages. that is how they are making money by selling the ads. i agree...what a waste. i just keep one & toss the others into recycling bin. you can call to stop them from coming. now that you bring this subject up i think i will do just that. thanks.

Post a note where you get the books delivered that you don't need any and they won't leave you any.
