Brazil only became THE superpower in football because of our mentality. Everybody in here has kicked a ball, even if it was just to see why everyone likes it. When, let's say, 95% of a 150million population has dreamed about being a football player, you know you'll find the hidden talents. We are able to find the best of the best because everyone is trying or tried. In other countries, I'll use the US as an example, someone who could be the monster of football is playing basketball or baseball, he'll never be found.

Plus our teams play 2 to 4 championships every year, so they are always testing new players, these when found are sold to big european clubs and then the club managers (not coaches) steal most of the money, and hire a bunch of new players to see if he finds another gold mine.... heh... now you also know why our local teams sucks even being the source of the best players.

So it IS the best, you like it or not our poor country is the only one with infrastructure to keep suplying our national team with top players for a long long time. While the others don't value football like we do, we'll be the best forever since we'll always have more and more talented players being discovered.

If you all thought about it, you would see it is not coincidence the country is so successful in football, nor is help from FIFA or referees, it is a long term strategy that is giving it's benefits.

So with all this, a 5:0 victory is considered a failure if not done with grace and style. Now with Parreira as the coach, I'm not surprised the team is not doing shows, that (and being overly defensive) is his way of leading a team, he wants them to play an objective and not good-looking game. The team is only offensive because almost all players are, that coach always concentrate on defense.

You all say we are arrogant, but the typicaly 1st world arrogance towards the 3rd world countries is what prevent you all from seeing that we indeed have the stronger team. Our last important match was a 4-1 against Argentina on the confederations cup final.

I always root for the team that is playing better (when I'm neutral), and that the stronger teams face each other, just so I can see a great game. Now this "I hate that team because they win too much" is just childish.

If we think we are the best, it's because we are still waiting for someone to defeat us on an important game. When the pressure is strong and the stakes are high, we are the team that was able to calm down and impose their game.

I hate Brazil- Most people cheering for that know nothing about football and wanted to sound like they know a lot so they pick Brazil (band wagon team). Watching ESPN with the announcers praising Brazil, " I love Brazil because the world loves Brazil" who comes up with this crap.

GO FRANCE KICK THEIR @SS!

It's rather hard to class them overrated when they arguably have 3 of the worlds best players on board, a history of experience, and wins, as well as solid coaching. It appears so far in this world cup they have only been playing hard enough to win.

I think they are.

Ronaldo, fat and slow.
Adriano, lucky,
Ronaldinho, nothing so far.
Dida.... HAHAHAHA....that's a KEEPER???

and, look at WHO they've played:
Japan, Australia, Croatia and Ghana.
Ghana should have won that match- two CLEAR offside goals, by Ronaldo and Adriano should have been disallowed, but noooooooooo, why? Cuz, it's Brazil, and FIFA have to kiss their butts- thanks to the IRON-MAN rule of Joao Havelange (FIFA Prez for....ever, it seems, before Blatter, his stooge, took over).

VAMOS ARGENTINA - los mejores futbolistas del mundo, y todo lo saben.... Tevez y Mascherano donde juegan? en Brasil.... hehe....xeneixe a vida!
Maradona = THE BEST, EVER!

Too much hype on Brazil. But it is good for punters who are putting their money in this world cup. :)
