We rely on the rec system to rec posts which are special to us. Rec whores are especially tramatized by the rec system being down, I mean all they do is rec. If anyone could help us out, it will be appreciated!

The geniuses at Yahoo cannot find the bug that ate up all the code for the rec system, so it is still down. They are outsourcing new code writers to india, so it is taking a while to get it back up.

If you have been a denizen of the news boards for long, you know that the rec option gets removed frequently, especially on articles that shine a spotlight on incompetence in the Bush administration.
I know that their service people do not respond with any helpfulness at all, and only hold on to a slight possibility that external attacks are taking down functionality.
