Do you support local independent musicians? If not, why not? What factors determine which bands you go and see, if any?

Yes. Every main stream musician was once a local independant one. You never know what you are experiencing first. My factors for liking or disliking locals are the same for bands that have been signed and making millions.

Alot of the time you even find more heart and effort out of independant muscicians b/c they haven't been corrupted by the fame yet.

Yes! I do support local bands. The type of music the band plays determines which ones I will go and see.

Well some factors are the type of music they play. Personally i'm not going to go see a Country Western Band. I rather go see a Rock Band, there are a couple of Rock bands in my local area that are really great. I check there myspace to see when they are playing!

There used to be thriving local music scene here. Now, the majority of the bands around are cover bands. So, I go see one of them regularly, and two of them sporadically. (I'm friends with some of the guys in the bands.)
