BRAZIL qualified for Korea/Japan 2002 by finishing third behind ARGENTINA & ECUADOR in their South American group which contains all South American teams. they qualified on the last qualifying match day beating VENEZUELA 3-0.

it was much tougher than this year..but if you come home with a WC title...it shuts up the critics quickly...even more when you BLANK the other team...and EVEN more so when that team is Germany or Italy...in this case Germany....
