Aen't we being hypocrites. Some say that the U.S and those countries aren't going to use the nuclear weapons, they just want to have them. Who are we to tell Iran and N. Korea not to have those weapons???

The concept is "mutual destruction". With the exception of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the odds of the US (the West) and the Soviets destroying each other were very slim.

The concern with gov'ts like No. Korea and Iran having the same technology is that they don't appear to play by the same rules as the existing nuclear states.

Remember the world shuddered when Pakistan and India joined the club. It's still a major concern for the world that these two enemies possess such power - especially in Pakistan where the government doesn't control the entire nation.

It isn't hypocritical for the world to regulate nuclear technology. What's stupid about the way they handle it is in allowing nations to think that's the only way to gain respect on the world stage. There is little reward for nations to play by the rules.

The reason is power, the powerful nations can do anything if other nations cant stop them. The USA is the only nation that has used nuclear weapons in war and against a non nuclear power too which is the only logical way they could be used. Nobody would use a MD if they thought they would get one back in return. Israel has been at war with everyone of its neighbors except the Mediterranean ocean.
Who will balance the (secret) nuclear arsenal of Israel ? Iran is threatened by Israel's nuclear weapons, their nuclear strategy seems to be if they are going down they will take as many people to hell with them as they can, is this the strategy of a responsible nation ?
Also what do you mean "We" ? you maybe surprised to learn there are other nations with the Internet.

I guess it's another way of oppression. God gave every one and every country the same right to exist. If these guys want to be big dads they should always set good examples. What the heck are they having these weapons for,on whom are they intending to use them. They should get rid of theirs as well.

Because I really believe that if Iran had them they would start World War 3 by hitting Israel with them. Because they hate Israel that bad.

Iran threatened to wipe Israel off the map and attack the US. Typically we don't want the people who threaten us to arm up.
