Runescape is one of the first and best MMO games in the world. Createdin 1999 by two college students, it has quickly become the largest MMO on the internet. There are over 5 MILLION subscribers, and just as many who play the free demo of it.
My question is whether or not Runescape is the Largest, not best (another thread) MMO, compared to games like WoW and Everquest, which both average about 3 million subscribers

It is the largest, You can look it up in wickolepidea or however its spelled. THey said it usually has from 100,000-150,000 people on at any given moment. One time last may it had over 200,000 people on it at once. They've also had to create 11 new worlds to try and keep up with the high demand of this game.

NO, NO, NO, NO! Your question is incorrect! The largest MMO out there is Final Fantasy 11, and it is LOADS better. I tried playing RuneScape yesterday, I shut it off after about thirty seconds. You want a good MMO? Try FF 11.

I know it may be hard to believe, but RS isn't the largest MMO. But it IS the largest Java (Java being the engine RS runs on) based MMO in the world.

Nope. there's a rationalization why maximum of their video games have multiplayer modes that max out at 24 gamers, even as workstation's variations of an same recreation max out at 60+... consoles won't be able to take care of fairly a lot of gamers interior an same recreation.

Well subscribers only points out the dudes and dudets that pay for it I'm sure there are more in the free player worlds to dwarf the numbers in any competition.

Runescape is popular, too popular infact, the rooms are almost always crowded, I can't mine gold, coal, mith, addy if I wanted to, just way too many ppl.
