Okay...Taking Back Sunday is by far the better band. I have followed them since their demo for "Tell All Your Friends" back in like 2001/2002. They were the seminal band that pushed Emocore to the forefront--in essence, they created the guidlines and sound for so many bands to follow. They were and are the godfathers of the scene in many respects. The acclaim of the first two albums was unbelievable...far greater than the release of Fall Out Boy's "kid brother band" Panic At The Disco. The music of Taking Back Sunday shows an intricacy that is far lacking in Panic At The Disco and the vocals really highlight the difference between these two bands. With the release of Louder Now I was so lucky to see the first show for the tour in Boulder, Colorado (CUBuff Pride!!!!): not only are the melodies and guitar parts pristine and complex versus the somewhat trite and/or simple guitar lines of Panic At The Disco. Adam Lazarra in this smaller venue proved himself again as having true talent. The notes he hits on the albums are nothing compared to the amazing vocals live...he hits all the notes on key (a good band has to be led by a singer who has the sheer capability of matching the studio recordings) and his stage presence is so personal with the audience. Sure, Panic At The Disco is a good band. Sure, Panic At The Disco is a band who is riding on the same exact sound Fall Out Boy had (which, by the way they are also beginning to show a slowing down in general sales and popularity amongst diehard music fans). However, ladies and gentleman, here is what kills Panic At The Disco...their lead vocals. "Oh my God, his voice is amazing on the record!!!!", we have definitely heard this before. But my opinion changed on the band after I heard their newest release on iTunes...it's the iTunes Sessions With Panic At The Disco. Has anyone else heard this...it's completely horrible. The singer sings monotone and his real abilities matches that of the very worst singers in history. He skillfully misses every note, every amazing vocal accent that we all loved on the album, he sings in a key so low it made me realize that the fresh voice of Panic At The Disco wasn't what I thought it was...the truth is coming out and I am faced with the realization that his vocals (as are so many others...including The Used) are manually fixed and raised in semitones in ProTools during after production. That sucks... The one guiding light is still the raw, talent, passion, and overwhelming strength of good music played by real musicians.

I would prefer you this is because you are full of life full of energy. This can be understood from your typing. Look at it. all the excitement is there. I cant belive that there are still people like you. Fully blossomed to tear away the whole darkness over mankind to unchain all the chains. Wish you prosperity and happiness. I wish I were you. Both the Panic and Taking Back Sunday would mean nothing to you.But I guess, the latter is your real choice. I felt it that way. I like neither . I prefer slow unforgetables. No I am not old. I am at an age to marry you, I guess.. :)

If I had to pick from the two, I'd say Taking Back Sunday. Their first album ("Tell All Your Friends") was at least pretty decent for what it was. Panic! does nothing for me.
