Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite is his actual name but kaka is just a nickname. apparently he got the name from his little brother who couldn't pronounce his unbelievably long name and called him caca and he stuck with it.....obvously kaka does not have the same meaning in brazil as it does in north america..but as he's playing like shat now the name fits

Kaka is just a nickname. He's real name is, perhaps, Carlos. In portuguese 'caca' means sh&t too, but with a different pronunciation, 'caaaa- ca', instead of 'ca-caaah'.
