Traveling to London. What are some neighborhoods I should stay clear of for my own safety?

My husband and I will be there for 9 days, and we're staying in the Marble Arch area. What areas are anti-American (to the point of being violent), and what areas have a rep for having muggers?

As far as I know, there's no such anti-American sentiment unless you're George Bush himself!! To avoid muggers, stay out of Wembley, mainly. Also, be sure you're out of Soho in good time. Rest, all places are safe as long as you and your husband don't flash the cash and don't stay out too late (i.e. past 12-1am)!
