Relatives for sure. Ever heard the saying: "Blood is thicker than water"? It's true. No matter what type of **** you step on, a relative will always be there to help you clean it up!!!

Like the old saying goes, you can't pick your family, but you can pick your friends. I would think family would be more important, but everyone isn't blessed with a wonderful family.
I love my family, but without friends my life wouldn't be complete.
Family is a given, but if your lucky enough to have a best friend, I treasure that more than anything. Good friends are a part of an extended family. Friends don't expect more out of you then you can give. They accept you the way you are. They are your confidant, you can usually tell them things that you wouldn't tell your family. Family tends to expect more from you. They set standards and expect you to follow. Chances are when you tell them something eventually the whole family finds out. That's just what families do.
However, I wouldn't say per se that one is BETTER than the other. They are both important in our lives. However, depends on what kind of family you have and what kind of friends you have. This question will get a variety of answers.

It depends upon your situation!Before I used to say that friends are better than relatives,but I realized in times of personal trouble,accidents or bankruptcy,your family are always there with an open arm to welcome you but friends with that kind of attitude,you will seldom meet a friend for better or for worse,but your family,they are always there for better or for worse!Most of my friends now are just good for company and enjoyment they just come and go!You are very lucky enough if you will find a bestfriend that will grow old with you and provide your needs when your down but your relatives are always there the last people standing to support you!

Friends - you can choose your friends, but relatives are thrust upon you. If your friends fail you, you can get new ones. If your relatives fail you, you're out of luck.
Not that relatives are bad - but it really depends on the situation, and on the relatives.

To me, is "FRIENDS".
They nvr leave me helplessly.... This is due to some problems happened half a yr ago...
I tried calling my relatives for help b'cos this was something quite serious which normally friends will turn u down, unable to help or so on.... But my relatives said they will call back but till today nvr call back... they just avoid the problem... Instead, i told my friend abt tis and she straight away ask for help from her sis, mom and cousin...
But this depends on ur family....

um in what way? as friends i would have to say - relatives cuz people outside the family are so easy to back stab. sure you can pick and choose your friends and not your family but i would much rather stick with my own group then at least i know the games of the ones backstabbing me. and plus friends can turn on you any givin moment and you are left standing alone with all the rumor's and such at least with family you have people on your side and backing you up. hopefully i answered the question that you wanted to know

because if u and ur friend had a big fight u might never come back together . but if it was a relative they could help u with ur feelings . u could trust them more. the relationship is stronger with relatives

the relatives are much closer than friends,some friends are jealous ,cheating sometimes they make bad surprises like the song of Jojo her best friend gets out wit her boyfriend secretly the relatives understand u more can help u
