Jim Carrey rocks. He's intelligent as well as a serious actor to boot. Can you say that the rock is both funny & Oscar-worthy?---Only problem I have is that Carrey is dating that Jesse McCartney chic. He deserves better... but if that's what he wants---- well..... ummmm....then that's what he wants.

Jim Carrey is funny as an ACTOR. (even though he did do stand up) I have found most of his movies to be very enjoyable and I do laugh out loud. He's got the physical comedy down to a science. He's more phsyical than Chris Rock in that aspect.
On the other hand, Chris Rock is an awesome stand up comedian. He's got the political thing going for him and talking about races. It works for him. I thought the movie he made about being the president was funny, and he actually made some great points, but I don't think it was funnier than Ace Ventura or Dumb and Dumber though.
So in conclusion. They are both funny, but in different ways. Chris Rock is funny when he does his stand up and his skits from the CR Show. Jim Carrey is funny in movies, doing physical comedy and making funny faces and sounds.
It's just two types of comedy.
PS. I thought it was Jim CarrEy with an "E". I think they spelt his name wrong, LOL!

Part of me wants to say Chris Rock, but I'm going to answer Jim Carry. The reason is because Jim is funny and doesn't have to be a pig to be so.
(If he was an option, I'd choose John Pinette over all of them).
