How do you know when to fight to the bitter end or when to let it go and just move on? This case involves a failure to pay full wages. The employer attends my church and is part of my outer cirle of aquaintences and we have several mutual friends. Fighting requires alot of my time and attention, involvement of government agencies and possible court procedures.......moving on means monetary losses for me and my family.

How much money are we talking about? If it's enough that it hurt your family more than your ok with... you should not give in. But don't fight.
Just be very professional... fighting about it is more likely to make it personal rather than business. As long as you do your part to keep it business and professional... there shouldn't be any problems with mutual friends.

Employers are required to pay you the salary you earned. Be sure to mention the issue informally before taking any action.

First ask yourself if you fight what are the consequences for you and your family?
Second ask yourself if you don't fight what are the consequences also?
then just weigh up the pros and cons, then make a decision from there on.

I would move on and take it to court and let them handle it. Don't talk or associate with the person and just let the court take care of it.
