The Catholic Church is considered the voice for the Catholic Church.
It does not attempt to speak for others and others would not appreciate the Church speaking for them.
Catholics believe hesitantly in Christ.
With love in Christ.

The Catholic church is the voice of Catholics, the Southern Baptist Convention is the voice of Southern Baptists, The United Methodist Church speaks for Methodists, The Episcopalians speak for gays, The Assemblies of God speaks for Pentecostals, The Holy Bible should be the final word for for all Christians.
I just looked at the other answers, the Catholic was NOT the first church. The first church was started by Jesus Himself. If you remember there was a church long before the Cathlic church was actually started. Read ACTS. They were called CHRISTIANS! and they were persecuted, yet grew in huge numbers.

Actually, I am a Baptist, and I know for a fact Christ is the same Christ who is worshipped in our church, its not just a Catholic thing.
People hesitate, because the world has so much to offer, and Satan uses these things as a diversion, and they think they have time, to live it up, and then maybe later believe/accept Christ. The thing is, you never know when it may be your time to leave this earth, and if it comes before you have accepted Christ as your Savior, you will be plunged into a lost Eternity... (Hell)
My advice is, not to wait, make things right with Christ now, before it is too late.

The Catholic Church is not the voice for Christians as a whole but for Catholics as part of the Christian faith. They Catholic Church is not my voice for my form of Methodist Christianity. And although I would not agree with anyone who says God does not exist, there are many religions in the world and everyone has their right to their own belief, if they didnt this would not be America. While the believers of God and Jesus may go to heaven and the rest to hell for not believing, it's their choice and obviously they dont see it that way so let them be and just pray for them.

i would say that catholic church is generally regarded as the voice of christianity because 1. they have been around for roughly 1700 years and were the only sect of christians for that amount of time and 2. the catholic church has more members than any of the other sects of christianity worldwide
as for your second question, the answer lies in a lot of places, first you have science and the fact that the bible has been proven very wrong on the creation story, second you have an abundance of wealth in the western world that mankind has never seen before, rich people (by christ's own words) are concerned with their riches on earth and not in heaven

The catholic church is not the voice of Christians. If people refuse to believe in Christ then in my opinion they have been deceived.

The Catholic Church is NOT my voice. Catholics do not believe the same things protestants do. They do not believe in being saved by Jesus as far as I can tell...If they do, then why do they believe you can lose your salvation everyday? What would have been the point of Jesus' ressurection? Again, they are NOT my voice.
Many are hesitant to believe in the ACTS of Christ, not Christ himself. Faith in the ressurection is a very provocative and difficult thing to grasp, while it IS very simple.

It's a long story, but in a nutshell, the Catholic Church is the Church founded by Christ in Matthew 16.
It's the Church that has been commissioned to carry out Christ's work on earth -- and when He said "what you bind on earth is bound in heaven, and what you loose on earth is loosed in heaven," He was giving it full authority to do so.

Unfortunately the world was once controlled by the Catholic church. It had lasting effects. Today many non-Christians can not think outside that box.
