There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......

(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Love is caring more for someone's feelings and needs than your own. In other words, it is dying to yourself to serve the other, not to get something in return. For example, if I am serving my girlfriend, and doing all I can to help her live out her life's goals and dreams, but I am doing it so she will do the same for me, that is not love. Love is me saying that I will dye to myself, serve her, care more about her needs and feelings, just so I can make her happy and make life better for her.

Love is how much you got on the inside to give, with trust and care and giving, it's not so much what two people feel for the other but how much each one feels inside and has inside to give. It's carefree and effortless.

Love is your partner seeing you naked and still wanting to have sex with you anyway. Oh and they don't laugh until they're out of the room.
