Thanks a lot guys for taking time to answer this question, I took another PT a few hours ago and it was also positive, this time the line was a lot darker. I also called the Dr. and I he ordered a blood test. I already know the and answer but I'll do it anyways. once again, thanks!

I had a faint pink line and I was pregnant, so it could be a positive.

ANY LINE IS A LINE. At least, that's what the doctor told me. I took a test at home, got all bummed out b/c nothing was there, went to eat some chocolate, got up to throw it away, and there was a REALLY REALLY faint line there. It was positive. Same thing happened at the dr's office. It just means that there isn't a whole lot of that hormone, but the only time a female's body produces that hormone at any level is during pregnancy. Good luck with the little one!

Do try again, odds are it is really a positive. The hormone the test is detecting is Hcg, the pregnancy hormone, this is most concentrated in your urine in the first morning bathrooming. So wait a couple of days, and using the first morning urine take another one. You may see a huge difference in darkness of the line, if not then you could always consult a physician for a serum pregnancy test. Congratulations, and good luck to you.

I agree with everyone else.....the hormone has to be present in order for there to be a line, no matter how faint. But just to be sure, contain your excitement, wait a few days, take another and see if the result is the same.

I found out that I'm pregnant in January. The first test I took appeared to be the same....very faint pink line....I took another 3 days later, and I was dark pink....Congratulations Mommy!!!
Make sure you use first morning urine on next test, the HCG hormone will be more concentrated..

A pale line is still a line. There has to be pregnancy hormone there in order for it to show anything. Congratulations. Have a happy and healthy nine months.

I was once told by a pharmacist, if you see any line in the positive square/circle, no matter how dark or faint, you are pregnant...
If you would like more confirmation, go buy a different brand and re-test.
Good Luck!

Normally if yu see any line on an at home test it means you are pregnant. In the directions pamphlet it will tell you that it doesn't matter how dark the line is... as long as you see one! Congrats and I hope all goes well.

Even the faintest of color in the answer line generally denotes a positive result, but you can take another to be absolutely sure.
