On the Atlantic Coast, the water offshore in parts of Florida (more specifically the Florida Plataeu) is deep. The water offshore in Savannah (Northern part of the coast) Georgia is shallow. Kingsland, St. Marys, and Kings Bay are in Southeast Georgia- closer to Savannah than the Florida Plateau in Southeast Florida.

This question is for an important briefing. If anyone could provide a reliable reference, that would be great.
