Yes, we closed our office one afternoon and split up into teams. Jumped into Limo"s with party supplies in them and went on a scavenger hunt. There were probably 100 things to do but you just got so much time to complete them. There was a point system in place so you went after the top points but did not pass any thing up! some involved bringing things back some involved pictures of the deed it self. Lots of fun the winners got to take that Friday off. It is expensive to do but a heck of a lot of fun! We are a sales organization so our time may be a little more flexible than your firms.

We did one that was pretty cool.. and very similar to the idea behind Yahoo Answers

It was called the reciprocity circle

Reciprocity being the action in which a helped person is more willing to help back.

Here is how it goes:

First you divide into the specific teams, try to make them as diverse as possible, this will work better if nobody in the circle really talks to the others on a regular basis..

You hand out, post it note cards.. and you ask everyone to write something they want to be helped with.. for example.. I need tickets to the play coming up this weekend, or I need a babysiter for next thursday.. it could be anything you want to be helped with, but it has to be something that really matters to you

Once everyone has their quesiton, you go around the circle and one person reads their need, and the others write down if they have a way to help them.. and you do this for everyone in the circle.. finnaly you collect all the answers to the needs of people and you give a price to the one who helped the most.

At the end of the day, you will see that people you had no regular contact with, will have helped you and you will have helped them.. creating a bond and conecting the team
