Spotting in early pregnancy is actually normal. They tell you to expect it if you have recently had sex, been checked by a doctor, gotten a pap smear, anything. I spotted. Baby is just fine. Don't worry. If it is so much blood that you have to use a pad (DON'T USE A TAMPON) then go to the birth center or emergency room right away, and call your doctor when you get there. Spotting when you first get pregnant can be implantation bleeding, when the baby implants and knocks a little blood from your uterus loose. All is completely normal, nothing to worry about. Pain, call doctor. Good Luck!

During my first pregnancy many, many years ago I began to spot and I contacted my obgyn for advice. At that time he told me to put my legs up on a pillow and have a high-ball. Why, the alcohol would relax the uterus. I did as I was told, the bleeding stopped and months later I delivered a healthy baby boy. But you must rely on your doctor's judgment today. It is probably nothing to worry about, but always check in with your doctor.

This happened with my third baby. She is fine. I was scared because had been pregnant 3 times previously and with one I started bleeding a lost the baby, the other 2 I never spotted and had healthy babies. I just kept seeing my doctor and talking to him about it.

I think it's quite common. I spotted with my second pregnancy and carried her full term. She was perfectly healthy. If you are spotting, you do need to tell your doctor. It could mean a serious condition like placenta previa, placental abruption or threatened miscarriage. Chances are that it's probably nothing, but to be on the safe side let your doctor know.

If you have spotting you need to consult with your doctor. Just because one woman might have spotting/bleeding and goes on to carry full-term does not mean that will be the same outcome for everyone.

I have three children. Spotted with two of them early on. All pregnancies went full term, all three babies perfect.

Good Luck

I did. It might not be a bad thing but every situation is different. You should check with your OBGYN.
