Because he controls both houses at the moment. The first thing that will happen when the Dems take over will be to restart the 9/11 commission and that's the end of the tyrant.

I disagree with most of the answers, so far. But then again, I'm a liberal. Bush HAS done so many things that could be considered as abuse of power--NAS spying (warrentless wiretapping) on Americans, obtaining phone & bank records of American citizens, and secret prisons, and manipulating the information to take us to war, to name just a few. Probably all impeachable offenses. When our founding fathers set up the constitution, the Congress (Senate & House of Representatices) were put in place to prevent abuses of power & to protect it's citizens. The problem here, is that Congress is suppose to investigate all potential abuses towards it's citizens and they are not doing their job. It costs millions of dollars to investigate the allegations of these abuses. It's not that Bush doesn't DESERVE to be impeached, he probably does, but it is not a simple process. I suspect, years from now, when the history books are written, political analysts will not only question this administrations abuses but will question why Congress didn't do their job as well.

Because it's not up to Americans to impeach. Impeachment can only be done by the House of Representatives, and the House of Representatives is a wholly owned subsidiary of special interest groups with money.

I'll be a little nicer than rukidding, but I'd have to say I'd agree with them. This question has been asked so many times it's annoying, and you always get the same responses:
1) He hasn't done anything impeachable. or
2) He's the antichrist, and a war criminal and should be impeached, vote Democrat. or
3) Because Americans are stupid. or
4) Because he controls both houses. or
5) Because of the stupid rednecks who voted him into office.
The truth? He really hasn't done anything impeachable. End of story.

First impeachment is something that only congress can do.

But if impeachmen were the power of everyday Americans, it wouldn't be done for the same reasons he won the relection.

Fear and Religion.

God knows - that moron is nothing more then a sock puppet repeating the same rhetoric about terrorism day in and day out.

I for one, beleive him to be a liar, a cheat and abusive with Presidental power and SHOULD BE crimialized.

OK, Dufingo Brain, haven't you seen this question in various forms on here just about every day? What makes you think that we're going to answer this one any different? So pay attention, I'll go slow....Bus hasn't done anything illegal, despite what you idiot people think. Soooo, if he hasn't done anything illegal, he can't be impeached. See how easy it can be? We don't start legal proceedings against people just because we don't like them or because we think they're stupid, otherwise you would have been in prison a long time ago. Do you get it now?

It has to start somewhere , why not with you . I'm sure there are thousands of people waiting and wanting for this to begin .
People will have to work together . Call your Congressperson , now !
After all , look how little it took to start impeachment proceedings against Clinton . Just a few determined Republicans .

most americans think Bush is doing a good job. some are too cowardly to try to impeach him, and some are too lazy to care. I whouldnt mind him getting impeached but i whould have to get more like minded people to voice together.,

Many people are against him, but so far he has done nothing that would qualify for an impeachment trial. He could get impeached for lying under oath, but that's under investigation.
