What kind of question is that? If they are having sex and don't want to get pregnant they SHOULD be using birth control. ESPECIALLY. if they are UNDER the age of 18 when they are financially unable to care properly for a child. There are some women that HAVE to be on birth control because of medical situations also. Not everyone that is on the pill is having sex.

I applaud all sexually active people who are not ready to be parents using birth control, under 18 or over 18.

I think it's a good idea for anyone who is sexually active, but if you've never used it before, keep other methods in mind as well. I started on the pill when i started having sex, but i became so sick with terrible stomachaches the first week that i had to go back to the doctor. She said that i was one of those rare people who reacted badly to the hormones and chemicals. I had to switch to condoms and spermicide. Transversely, two of my sisters found out that they are allergic to latex when they started using condoms so both of them went on birth control early. Best to see your doctor to figure out what works.

If you're sexually active, it's an "ok" idea, but I'm hoping that you're wanting to use birth control pills to regulate your menstrual cycle, because if you're using it so that you won't become pregnant, then that lets me know that you're not using protection. The chances of you becoming infected with AIDS should be your primary concern sweetheart. I'm not trying to preach to you, but just want you to know that these guys that you are attractive to, others are as well, and if he's willing to have intercourse with you without protection, PLEASE don.t be fooled with the line" your so beautiful, I love you sooo much, I've never done it w/o protection before, but I trust you" . You're probably trustworthy, but trust that he's probably not. Look at this guy before you do this unprotected, and say if I DIE is he worth it, the rest of your life? Choose properly, this is not cliche anymore unSAFE SEX KILLS! If you're the parent, talk to your child, or have her read this. Good luck.

Anyone who is taking birth control is taking responsibility of themselves and i think that its very cool, after me and my twin sister became moms in our late teens my little sisters saw that as a warning as to what can happen to u if u are not cautious, i was very proud of them when i learned that they were taking birth control

Its a great idea but its not a subsitute for a condom. Remember that birth control is only to help prevent you from ggetting pregnant, but a condom will prevent std's and thats of equal risk as pregnancy. So use both!

AWESOME idea if they're thinking about or having sex already. I wouldn't have been pregnant at 15 if I would have been on birth control...but it was an unspoken subject in my house and community. They taught us in school, but it was a "socially inacceptable" subject everywhere else.

If they are sexually active and don't want children I believe it is the right thing to do. Birth control in my mind is better than abortion. Pro Life!
