Sounds like the coolant(134-A) may be low, mabey there is a blockage in the system.Vehicles with front and rear AC take more 134-a than regular systems.Again seek professional help. You may have a leak in the system.

I just had this problem fixed on a 95 Aerostar. You are getting both front and back air coming into the front. The rear fan is just blowing room temp air, as there is no cold air getting back to it. There is a divertor vent in the front of the vehicle, under the dash, that diverts the air to the back. The linkage has come disconnected to this vent or it has failed somehow. There is also a possibility that one of the ducts is blocked, but the diverter is likely the culprit. The dealer can fix it, or any good auto A/C shop. Hope this helped.

Don't know this answer, but I'd advise getting a Chilton's manual for that make and year and see if it helps. They cost $12-$20 bucks (call around first) and I usually get mine at a local auto parts placfe. Bet ebay even has one now and again.
Even if it doesn' t help with this problem it can save you big bucks over the life of the car. You can fix some things, get friends to fix some, and at least figure out what is wrong so you know what it will cost...
Odd as it sounds, might be an electrical thing - switch that opens some vent or something. I'd check fuses 1st cause they are so easy..... Good luck

all the failings suggested are very on the fringe of the fuse block and merely in the back of the sprint. i think of in case you get rid of the cluster or center panel you will discover some burnt wires that must be repaired, Thank those little varmints for there flavor for twine covers.
