What do you think about Junk Mail?

To me, it is a mystery! If they know people will delete their e-mails, why do they send them? Do they think somebody is going to read them? I just don't understand!

I generally try not to think about it. I have Junk Mail controls set in my Thunderbird mail program so the majority of it gets automatically filtered into my Junk folder. this makes things much easier b/c I don't have to deal with it.
