Do you use high end makup or drugstore? Do you notice any difference between them?

used to use Lancome, now (when i actually wear it) i use drugstore. i do like lancome better, its smoother.

I have a differing answer in this... I usually use Aveda makeup- which is all natural and organic. My skin is so sensitive that other than a select few drugstore brands, my face breaks out in a horrible rash. In fact I tried one particularly cheap one and my face looked like an orange peel for a week. So I think for most people there really isn't a difference other than price. For people with more sensitive skin issues, some of the more expensive stuff seems to be the way to go.

I use drugstore make-up. I used to use some high end stuff, but after spending $25 on one tube of lipstick one day (and I didn't even like the color when I got home) I decided to stick to the less-expensive stuff. I do not notice a difference at all.

I used to use high end make up as you call it.. but thru the years there have been so many developments in the make up industry that now i can no longer tell the difference between high end and drugstore except for you guessed it the price.

Well there is a clear diffrence. Department stores that sell makeup like Chanel and Este Lauder are made from cleaner, better materials than that of Cover Girl or Maybeline. But not enough of a diffrence for you to worry. Think of it this way. You only have the skin you are born with. Just like your hair. ITs the only hair you get. Care for it the best way possible. Thats like saying theres no diffrence between Suave and Biolage. Salon products are best. If you can, buy good foundation and powder for your face, do it. Use good base materials, then you can get any blush, shadow or mascara you like from anywhere.

I use drugstore make-up for everything except my base. I have oily skin and marks that need good coverage (unfortunate genes). When I use the drugstore foundations I can't find one I like because they don't last long enough or start to run. I use Merle Norman's Lasting Foundation. I've tried to use other things, but I always go back to it.

I'm not sure if it's considered "High End", but I only use Bare Minerals Bare Escentuals make up anymore, and I do think it makes a HUGE difference. I have terrible skin, and this stuff is great! It's so light, yet covers well. and my complexion seems smoother, also. I will never go back to the sticky stuff in a bottle again!

I use MAC because it covers well and it stays on and it is easy to match my skin-tone exactly.
I know there is a difference in the expensive stuff and cheap stuff because the high-end make-ups have more pigments, that make your colors more brighter and they stand out.

I use to use maybelline. Then switched to MAC, but now I am using Mary Kay... Its changed so much in the last few years that now it has made my skin look so natural and smooth and amazing I will never change. I love the fact too, they go this virtual make-over that chooses the best colors for you by your skin, eye, and hair color!

I use both. There are good & bad products to be found in any line. I've found the big differences in eyeshadows and bronzers...these I will buy from a department store or Sephora.

i use both. there is good products in both sections. i use drugstore powder lipgloss and mascara and tan. i buy my eye shadows and some foundations from counters . difference is the pigments are often better in eye colours in mac makeup 4 example and better coverage i find in d foundatuion
