It is a city of slums and filth. Thieves, snatchers and worse on every corner. The hotels are so bad ! And the taxi drivers are so dishonest. Do not drink or eat anything in Baguio. Do not breath in Baguio. the air is so polluted by tricycles and jeepneys.
There are some nice places to go in the Philippines but Baguio is not one of them. Some people on this site make every place in the Philippines sound like Eden. Well believe me, all of the Philippines is not Paradise and not Eden. The interests of Philippine tourism would be better served with some honest evaluations rather than a bunch of hype and bull about how great everything in the Philippines is.

It's cool up there! If you enjoy long walks and climb you'll have fun traversing the busy streets of Baguio. It's a plateau and you seem to be up the clouds and near the sky at Baguio. You can go places or strike a bargain in its markets. Second hand goods are sold in "Ukay -Ukays' and you can find treasures in an otherwise discards from other people. There is always life in Baguio as if the city never sleeps. Because of the cool air you can either enjoy its cool breeze or have that nice sleep which you can't have from where you are now.

As you can see majority gave a positive point of view about Baguio. I could attest on to it. I, myself, studied in Baguio for 5 years and its great! It has a cool place, fresh flowers, strawberries, and full of nice and friendly people.
I miss the cold water in Baguio whenever I'm bathing. (I mean no heater) Its contradiction here in Dubai coz you have to let the water cool for an hour or more because of very hot water.

I went there was and its not that big of a deal. The only thing you can go to do there is watch the rice terraces, which are pretty far from Baguio and thats it.
good luck.
