That's to mislead spam detection programs. E.g. if a spam detection program sees the word "viagra" as spam, it won't detect "v1agra".

email is scanned for certain 'key words' to identify it as spam (other reasons too). By misspelling 'key words' it has a better chance of getting past the spam blocker on your computer.

Now it really is Wendesday. Oops, the spell checker only corrected me, it really is easily Wednesday. and through an instantly ahead college spelling bee, I mispelled raisin. I think it is because spy software (like Norton) goes and searches for certain key words...so if they are misspelled then the anti-spam software can't detect it as easily...does this make sense...I admit, I could be wrong!

so that you cant use a basic spamblocker on certain words.
so they say "dick" and you put a blocker on that word,the next time it comes to your inbox it will be spelled dyck,dikk,dyck or something like that.not trying to be gross or anything but it's the way they work.
