Yep, you'll just need a router.

There are wired and wireless (handy when you have a wireless laptop.) They run at like $40 and up I think. It's been a while since I looked at them.

If you're not sure how/what to do talk to the guys at the store you plan on buying it from. They'll help set you up with what you need and should be able to tell you how to set it up. It's not hard though. You plug the internet cable into the router in the "modem" section and plug the computers into the section labeled for them.

Yes, however, there are certain steps you must take depending on what you want to do. If you simply want to 'network' the 2 computers together, each must be equipped with a network card, aka Ethernet card. One computer would be your Main, connected to the internet through the modem and the other a slave computer with a patch cable connecting it to the Main computer. But doing this, both computers Cannot be signed into the internet at the same time. If you want to be able to use the 2 computers at the same time, you will still need the network cards along with a router and (2) CAT5 cables. Suggest you purchase a 'wireless' router, then if you get a laptop, you will be able to use all 3 computers at the same time. Connect the modem cable to the router. Connect one end of the CAT5 cable to the router and the other to the computer for each computer. The router will have several ports to plug in the CAT5 cable.

Yes, you need to buy a router from a computer shop. You attach the main Internet line to the router, then attach the two computers to the router with network cables. It's actually very simple to do.

Yes. As the others have mentioned, you'll need a router. Use a CAT5 cable to route each to your router. If you are "hard wiring" them like this, you need a basic router.

However, if one of them uses wireless technology to connect to the internet (or if you would like to buy a wireless card so that one of them does), get a wireless router. One of the best on the market right now is the Linksys Wireless G with MIMO available at Best Buy.

All you desire is a instant router and the proper plug in on your workstation. The router will plug into the main nicely-known cpu the place your internet cable is attached. We run yet another table good and a workstation off of a similar router. We use a Netgear router, and characteristic had no issues of it for years.

Yes you can. There are over 100 ways to do it but a cheap internet router is the easiest way to do it. You can get one for about $40 at your local walmart or wherever electronics are sold.
