Check your local antique shops and second hand stores. If you develop a relationship with an antiques owner, they will look for those things for you for fun, and not charge you very much. Just an added thought for your photos, you might consider using sepia film and that will make it look even more aunthentic. Have fun!

Try a resale shop such as the Salvation Army or other groups have. If there is a vintage museum or historic replica village near you the photos could be taken there. Places that sell higher priced antique stuff might be convinced to let you stage a photo session with their stuff in exchange for a copy of the photo.
Some digital cameras have a "Sepia" setting that produces the brownish look of old photos. It is probably safer to do the sepia conversion on image editing software on your computer since you would have more control.

I don't know, just make sure that you use a lot of wooden furniture. I think that the secret to making the photo look antique is to use a sepia effect either with your camera (if it can do that) or with Photoshop; the colouring effect is really the most important thing when it comes to making photos look antique.

some digital cameras have differ. frames and such u can choose, like b/w, negative and 1 thats called sepia. u can take the pic and print it out that way, its just like antique. as far as the clothes and other items u should try 2nd hand or resale shops. also hit up garage sales, i got my antique capt. kangaroo phone at 1. gl

All that sounds great! Go "antiquing"!! Go to old stores buy some "junk" and let loose. Some cameras have a button that will let you make things look black and white or rusty and so on you can try that. Also try a big wooden barrel and label it in black paint XXX. hehehe have fun!!! ;)

How about some old fashioned looking drapes, Heavy ones or maybe just gingham, you could just use fabric hung up, since I guess you wiil use black and white film, the color would not matter.
Or maybe a bale of hay would look cute too, that would be more western looking, though.
Have fun, I like your idea!

The phone...I would suggest the Thrifty Quaker. Or maybe that place is just near me. But any kind of vintage-y, thrift store type of thing is most likely going to have what you're looking for.

By the time you buy all that stuff and take the time and trouble rounding it all up you might as well spend the money for a professional to do it. What are you going to do with this stuff after you've finished?
