I am proud to be an American.
We live in the land of opportunity. The land where dreams come true: If.... you want something bad enough and work hard enough.
We are free to worship or not worship as we choose.
We can say anything we want about our president without being taken from our beds at night ..and shot, beheaded, hung or terrorized
While there are some problems with our school systems, in most cases our children are not only literate, but go on to achieve their goals and ambitions in life.
We are a nation that cares deeply for our own and for the plight of poorer nations. We are the first country to come running in to offer a helping hand in a disaster and the last to leave.
And even if it makes me sound like a backwoods redneck, my
philosophy will always be.. "America....Love it or Leave it" !!
and that, is this Texan's opinion

I am a very proud AMERICAN!! I love my country. I an not much fond of my Government or my leaders but I LOVE MY COUNRTY.
Where else in the world can you speak freely, drive from one ocean to another without having to show "Papers" at every border. Go in debt and file bankruptcy, get a good education provided to you, if you choose. Where else in the world can you openly speak of how bbad the leaded of your country is without fear of death?
We live in the best country in the world, why else do you think everybody is trying to get in?
"i love my Country, It's my Govenrment I fear"
