reinstall your messenger. The question comes uup while installing. Just check it and yahoo will be what you want it to be.

You don't. Your default mail has to be a mail on your computer such as Outlook, Netscape, Firefox etc.
You can set any of these to import your Yahoo mail so you don't have to open more than one email acct. to see all your mail.

You could make Yahoo Mail page your home page, that way every time you open a browser window, you will get the mail page.
