No you shouldn't be ashamed. It's just a little belly. I would probably be self conscious if skin were showing, but you have it covered.

Have you tried petite stores/sections? Maybe that would help you find clothes easier.

Don't be ashamed, be concerned for your health! Excess belly fat is linked with heart disease and other issues. 28 is VERY young to be facing health issues that can be solved by getting in shape. You can wear whatever you want regardless but, if you want to look and feel your best, lose a bit of weight by exercising a little 3 times a week. Being in good shape and healthy is the best thing you can do for yourself, a gift to yourself and an investment in your future life, which hopefully is a long one!

If fat is sticking out you need a bigger size clothes. There shouldn't be fat showing that because that makes you look bigger than you really are. Sometimes when you have body issues it takes a bit longer to find things that fit you properly, but the clothes are out there and you'll look and feel so much better when you take the time to find them. Good luck

Honey there is no need to be ashamed of. You can get your clothes stitched from a good tailor. As far as your belly sticking out, this means you need to work out. If you don't find time to hit the Gym, then you can go for long walks and be a bit calorie conscious. Even a fat person can be healthy provided he/she eats healthy low-cal food, and work out regularly. Wear clothes accordingly.....

If it is making you uncomfortable, which it seems to be doing, you need to change your fashions so they make you feel confident. Belts are in right now-how would your outfits look if you belted them? Just an idea. I don't think it would be something I would look at or feel looks bad, but I'm going on your feelings. It is important for you to feel good in what you are wearing. Also, you might consider checking with a tailor just to see how much alterations would cost. It might not cost that much and if you felt better and your clothes fit better, it's worth the investment. I hope it works out for you!

There are plenty of clothes that are designed to hide belly and hip flaws. Especially with the long flowing tops that are in style now. I have the same problem. Find shirts that are loose and flowing. Wal-mart has a ton of them.

You shouldn't feel ashamed, but you should find clothes that will compliment you, not set you up for ridicule.
