It is a tax on the poor that hurts them greatly while the rich who can afford to pay realize they should not waste money on it. Ever wonder why the Lottery is legal for the state to run but if you do it they call it running a "numbers racket" and that is very illegal.

A lot of the money raised goes to worthy causes so in that respect the lottery is a good thing. However, the chances of yourself personally winning your fortune is so unbelievably slim so in that respect its bad. I personally do not play the lottery, i do the odd scatchcard however for instant disappointment/gratification.

In South Carolina they banned slot machines and then replaced it with a lottery. You had a danger of winning with the slot machines. because of the baptists they kept playing besides the undeniable fact that it grew to change into authorities robbery particularly of a actual danger of winning.

If you are going to play.....good luck. I play every week and never win big. I win now and then but like only 200 bucks. You know what they say,"you have more chance of getting hit by lightning than winning the lotto"

I think it is stupid....lottery should only go by state...if you buy in texas, only a texan should win....better chances for me that way
