Well, here's another way to look at it, son ...
You had two parents, four grandparents, eight great grandparents, 16 great greats ... by the time you go back 35 generations (about 700 years) you would have several million antecedents (assuming no intermarriage). Even with considerable intermarriage, if you go back a few more generations, your antecedents/ancestors would be equal in number to the population of the planet at that time.
So yeah, when you kill, you are killing a distant relative. When you marry, you are marrying a distant relative.
So what else is new?

Lot of these people here are correct. Adam and Eve had more children, and because they were closer to the Divine, they lived longer, but as time progressed....we dwindle down in the years lived...but thats off the subject. But you have to think about Cains wife. Cain's wife, according to some, was Lillith, the first wife of Adam. She was his equal. He didnt want that, so God sent her away. Then he took Eve from Adams rib bone, to make her less than what she was. So Cain took Lillith as his wife, then you get more of the aggressive nature in people. So yes we are all related, but because of long lineages, we do not have the same X and XY chromosomes, so go a head and marry your fiance', unless she/he is a cousin or someone close to your family.

Adam & Eve began the population, so we are all descendants of them. However, during the great flood, Noah and his wife, his 3 sons and their wives were the only humans spared. So, we today, are actually descendants of Noah. God told Noah and his family to spread out and multiply (Genesis, Chap. 9) People lived for a very long time back then (Noah lived for 950 years) They had the time to have many more children and populate the earth. Having said that, we are all so removed after so many generations, that you need not worry about marrying your fiance. Marriage is a God-given gift to us, created through Adam & Eve.
Yes, whenever we kill another human being, we are killing our brother or sister (Commandment #6--You shall not murder, Exodus, Chap.20).

Yeah, that's a fun one. I always loved the fact that the Bible says that their son, Cain, left and went to the city after killing Abel. Where'd the city of people come from? Did Adam and Eve populate an entire city and then have Cain and Abel and move to the country?

If you're a Christian, I believe you would take on the mentality that everyone is your brother and sister in Christ, no matter what race, religion, etc. Hahaha, so yeah, your fiance is your sister IN CHRIST. But nowadays people go by blood, as long as you two aren't blood related, to society it's perfectly acceptable for you to marry your fiance. And in the Bible people were marrying their cousins and everything. Lots 2 daughters got him so drunk he fell into a deep sleep and they each had sex with him and got pregnant by him just to keep the family line going!!! You're fine, don't worry! Go ahead and marry your fiance! Congratulations on your engagement, and I wish you all well!

Sounds pretty right on to me. If we all came from one pair and I beleive we do then when we kill , we kill our relatives. People fight in the name of relegion because God is not real to them and they put government ahead of God.
Jesus when on earth tempted by Satan was shown all the kingdoms of the world and offered such for just One act of worship. His answer is found At Matthew:48-10. The government that Jesus refered to when he taught us to pray for God's kingdom to come and God's will to be done on earth as in heaven is not rulled by man. Relegions have indeed been at the head of battles but who are they supporting Mans governments or Gods?

I think we're far enough removed from them that it's OK to marry now. It's usually OK to marry from your second cousin back. I doubt if I have anybody who is a first cousin or closer out there that I don't know about.

Even if we are all related, it's so far apart we would never know. Also I'm not sure about others, but I don't fight. I don't believe that fighting helps, unless it's completely necessary, like your people would die if you didn't fight. In the Bible it's says "Do not kill", unless necessary, I don't believe in killing.
