here are my plans:
I watched the parade this morning
went to the legislative grounds (I'm in Edmonton, the provincial capital of Alberta)
I'm just inside for a bit to escape the heat
later today I am going to a friends for a BBQ and to hang around the pool and drink beer (Molson Canadian of course)
tonight we will go on the roof and watch the fireworks
last year the weather was rainy I am so glad that it is a beautiful day today
:)

Fireworks, drinking, people wave flags, and have bbq parties....
It really depends who your with.
Towns and cities usuially have celebrations of some sort. Carnivals, outdoor concerts, shows.
Many people I know go camping up north, not real camping, they go to a campground and party.
