Damn good question.. I ask you? Africa has diseases galore, no food for it's existing populations but this Right Wing Fundamentalist administration will only give them Aid if contraceptives are taken off the family agenda. Gosh, no wonder the chinese are becoming the friend of the oppressed.
madbaldscotsman, I have gone to England 27 times over the last six years and lived there for periods up to 6 months. They have always thought of Americans as arrogant, stupid and self obsessed, and they are our friends. The mainland Europeans only want the dollar and never, ever, want to see an American, let alone live with one. No, Moore is not the reason. Don't fool yourself. The political heirarchy has a lot to do with it. Would you want Bush as a friend and mentor?

It's because a Republican President will do all the not so pretty happy things that need to be done. A Democrat President worries about PR and the media a Republican President worries about National Security and the future.

I agree with stupid.liberals. She's got it right. The republicans actually DO SOMETHING to make things better. And if you tell me that everything you do has the results you expect down to a tee, you'd be lying. Republicans ain't afraid to fight for the people and don't care what the public opinion polls say. Did you know that 74% of Americans are Christian Conservatives? Then how come it seems that The Socialist Party of America(Liberals) have so much power? The media.And us kids(I'm fifteen) have got our faces stuck right up to the screen. It's sad that a bunch of my freinds have been brainwashed by scum of America. If we ain't careful, it'll us (the conservatives) in the lower 23%.

The people I've talked to around the world don't share what the news reports. With a guy like Moore going to other countries and saying that, in England, that the dumbest Brit is smarter than the smartest American, that's why we lose respect. If the best example of an American is a fat walrus... we're in trouble.

America only has respect with our true allies! Everyone else asks for help & then stabs us in the back when we give it. Major corporations don't help any, they use cheap labor to make higher profits no matter what the costs to our country! We freed France at a high cost to our country in WW2 & now they turn on us. We helped Russia after they fell apart & they also turned on us. The U.S. will only have respect from our true allies no matter what we do. Remember, not every country thinks like us.
