Last night, while dispairing, sick, and in severe pain, I went to a club, and while barely able to speak from the throbbing headache, I actually did meet a girl in the parking lot as I was LEAVING.

We have so much in common I can't believe it! She's knew of the band I like: THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS, and I knew what it was that she did for a living, "An Assistive Technologist" - she makes adaptive equipment for the disabled.

I may have found my wife last night. I never had trouble with women until this last year - I never had to do anything, they always came up to me. I've never HAD to approach girls before, and at 29 I suddenly discovered I did not know how.

I have been alone for so very long!

i'll tell you this story it starts out sad but ends well
my best friend was 7 months pregnant when she went in to have a regular checkup when the doctors could not find a heartbeat so they called for an ambulance and sent her to the hospital when she got there they could not find a heartbeat on the doppler or on an ultrasound so they induced her so that she could give birth to her baby which they told her was already dead after about 20 hours of no progress they took her in for a c-section and when they delivered the baby and there was no pulse no nothing the child was proclaimed dead as they were taking the body to the morgue of the hospital the man who was wheeling the little girl down noticed some movement in the bag so he opened it and noticed that the little girl was in fact alive so he rushed her back upstairs where they put her on all kinds of machines to keep her alive and went to tell the mother that little girl is now 9 months old and as happy as can be she is also my god daughter and she truly is a miracle
this is a true story

my husband and i met through his sister (this isn't the happy part, trust me:)....
a bunch of us were going out to dinner and then a karaoke night at hotel bar...
she asked if i cared that she brought her brother along....
of course i didn't care...the more the merrier, plus he had just gotten back from Iraq and could probably use some fun.

well, when we first met, i thought he was very cute. we sat across from each other at dinner and didn't say a WORD! we both watched the TVs that were behind each other!!! too funny.

well, then we got to bar and we sat next to each other and somehow we started talking and we just never stopped....until later when we were all leaving and we were in the parking lot waiting for everyone else to come outside. that's where he first kissed me.
it was great.

the happiest part of the story....
we went back home this past weekend (we ended up moving about 10 hours away from home) for our baby shower and some friends of mine came into town for it.
they were all staying at the same hotel we were at that first night.
well, after spending hours at the bar having fun with my friends we left. on the way out my husband took me over to the spot where we first kissed, said some beautiful things to me and then said "come here sweetheart" and kissed me....just like the first time:)

i was more in love with him at that moment than any other moment we've had together.

i hope that was happy enough for you. the great guys really do exist.

take care.
