Don't use Stridex!! That will overdry your skin, thus creating more oil and breakouts!! I used to have bad acne all over my chin and I tried everything, even going to the doctor. What I ended up doing was the best thing I had done for my skin. I started to use proactive. You will see the results about 2 weeks after, my skin looks soooo pretty now. You could never tell I had problems with acne.

Also, oily foods have nothing to do with your breakouts. That is all a myth. Just eat right, lots of veggies and fruits and lots and lots of water!!

Your skin will clear up and look so nice, you will see!!

When you wash your face you need to use a product that has salicylic acid in it. Aveeno, Mary Kay Velocity Brand and I believe that Proactiv has a version with salicylic acid in it. Using soap such as dial does not deep clean your pours. It only strips the oil.

You can use a oil control product that also contains Salicylic acid in it. It should also contain an oil absorbtion product. Do not use type of harsh scrub (exfoliator). This will open the blemishes and can move bacteria around the face and cause more acne.

You should use a gentle exfoliator and a toner (however I believe that all three brands listed above contain all three in the cleanser.)

My children use the Velocity and have had wonderful results. But whatever you use, be consistent and don't combine brands. All of the skin care companies agree that you should not mix brands. They are not chemically formulated to work togther and can cause break outs also.

Good luck and remember that with time this will clear up for you!

There is something on the market called Proactive . If you can get it I think it would clear your skin. When you say you don't eat many chips you shouldn't be eating anything greasy, so don't eat them at all. Stay away from chocolate also. Try exfoliating. Any drug store will carry a cleanser for your face that is an exfoliate too. Ponds has a good one and its not too pricey. It's called Ponds daily exfoliate. Use it everyday and then put on a moisturizer. I hope it helps. If you can afford it the Proactive is the way to go. Jessica Simpson does a commercial about it.. She had terrible skin at one time, so she says. Good luck

You're washing your skin too much, which is just as damaging. When you clean all the natural oils, the oil glands produce even more. Wash your face once a day and leave it alone. You will probably break out worse for a couple of weeks, but don't pick at the pimples and they will heal and your skin will start to clear up. If you're getting cystic acne (BIG, painful pimples that don't come to a head for a week or so), then you need to go to a doctor and get a topical ointment, but if it's just a few white heads here and there, just leave it alone.

I use the Clear Skin Regimen at http://www.acne.org. It's a non-profit (so it's free), the guy who created used to suffer from pimples himself. The system works wonders on my face, and its helped countless other people. The best part is that you don't have to order or buy any expensive treatments, everything you need for the Regimen can be found at your local drugstore. Find out more at the website.

In general, for clear skin it helps if you: don't touch/pick at your skin, drink lots of water, wash your hair frequently, change your pillowcases, exercise, wear little make-up (or if needed, hypo-allergenic makeup), and minimize stress.

You'll want to use a 3-1 Cleanser and then a moisterizer and also a pimple cream. Mary Kay has all three stuff at a right price. With skin it can be tempermental and some products may not be right and others might be. So you'll want to test and find out the best for your skin and stay with it.

good ole fashion soap and water twice a day. but also tweak your diet to just plan mike and water, no greasy foods ( No Mickey D's french fries), try to stay away from fast food spots in general. Try this for about a week and your skin should clear up.

Note: make sure the soap has some type of moisturizer in it!!!

Good Luck
