Just wondering because I'm going to the game today and maybe they will make it 14 in a row? I just want them to be #1 at something, even if it is losing the most games in a row.

No, not even close. The record for most games lost in a row is 21, by the 1988 Baltimore Orioles at the start of the season, when they went 0-21. The record for most lost games in a season is 120, by the 1962 New York Mets. And if anybody is going to break either one of those records this season it'll be the Kansas City Royals, not your Pirates.

Pirates have lost 13 in a row to date, the longest losing streak in MLB history is 21 by Baltimore in 1988.

Cubs lost 14 in a row back in 1997.

NL record is 24 but this was back in 1899 when Cleveland was in the NL so it's not a modern day record. So who knows, a couple of more loses and the Pirates may very well set the modern day record for a NL Team.

They don't have the record yet, but if they keep playing the way they have been they might get it eventually. I would be embarrassed to see my team lose 14 games in row, but seeing my Reds lose to the Royals two nights ago was basically just as bad. Have fun at the game.

Maybe by this time next week they'll own the record. The 1988 Orioles lost their first 21 games, how's that for digging yourselves a hole? Nah, you guys go ahead, we'll catch up later...

Hello Fresh Princess thanks for answering my questions. The kid is three years old and could care less about me wedding. He doesn't even understand what a wedding is. I doubt it. They just beat the World Champion White Sox. As long as the Cubs are around. I don't think you have to worry abou them being the worst. Go White Sox!!!!!!!
