My wife thinks it looks cheesy and tasteless. I got it back in the 80's and my wife thinks it should have stayed there. It's not huge or anything, a Gucci cut I think. I notice more gold on other ethnicities, and it looks fine. Can I pull off this look (tucked inside the shirt)? I know this seems like a meaningless question, but I was just wondering....

Wear whatever you like, I've yet to meet a married man whose wife didn't criticize his mode of dress or accessories. just tell her the chain has sentimental value, there's no arguing with that.

Honestly, I think gold chains send a kind of 'slimy-guy' message. If I see a guy with a gold chain on, even tucked in, it turns me off immediately. BUT, you can work hard and make it look right. I think that if you want a necklace, check out Matthew Mcconaughey and Steve Zahn in the movie "Sahara." The natural look on necklaces for men, it seems to just look so awesome!

As long as you're not also wearing a sport coat with the sleeves pushed up, espadrilles and your shirt half open to expose "just the right amount of chest hair"...it should be fine.

You can wear pretty much what you want but your wife is right gold chains aren't in for anybody except the bling-bling kind worn by rappers and their friends. Sorry.

MANY PEOPLE TAKE HOLD OF IT TO GET A CLOSER LOOK.

Yes...but you have to wear it with a floral patterned butterfyl collar shirt, preferably polyester or silk...then just about any pants, but preferably polyester with a bell bottom and white shoes.

Yes you can if the chain looks hot on you. Some people are hot when they wear jewlery. and if you are as lucky as some you probaly look younger then what you really are.

Well I'm going to have to agree with your wife on this one.
I just do not like to see jewelery on men, other than a watch and a wedding ring.
But that is just my taste, if you like it, and you paid for it, you should wear it !!
