Wasn't there an old "Wizard of Oz" movie besides the one made in the year 1939?
I remember it as a black-and-white film but I'm not sure.
The 1939's actress was Judy Garland, and the one I'm looking for was starring an actress named...I can't rememeber.
(Sure it's not Judy Garland, LOL)
Does anybody knows what it is or where I can find information about it?

The actress was a little girl, she looked a lot like Shirley Temple.
Until a few minutes ago I believed the actress was Shirley Temple, but I found out that she never film the Oz.

Since its initial publication in September 1900, L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was filmed for the first time only in 1939.

If you pick up the 3-disc edition of the '39 version, they include a couple of the older silent films, too, as well as a lot of information on the adaptations (excluding, of course, Disney's 1985 version of "Return to Oz," starring Fairuza Balk).

I don't know of your earlier version to the Judy Garland one but I know the sequel was called Return To Oz and was made in 1985. (I used to love it but it's not comparable to the earlier one)
