In the first trimester of pregnancy, the first sign of pregnancy is most often a missed menstrual period. If a sexually active woman's periods are generally regular, missing a period for a week or more is presumptive evidence of pregnancy.
Early symptoms of pregnancy also include feelings of breast swelling and tenderness and of nausea sometimes with vomiting. Morning sickness is not always in the morning. Many women become fatigued early in pregnancy, and some may feel abdominal enlargement (bloating).
Early in pregnancy, the woman may feel she has to urinate frequently, especially at nighttime, and she may leak urine with a cough, sneeze or laugh.
Other changes characteristic of pregnancy include the deepening color of the areola (area surrounding the nipple), increased body temperature, the mask of pregnancy (darkening of skin on the forehead, bridge of the nose, or cheekbones), and a dark line may appear down from the middle of the central abdomen area.

The link below provides many of the signs plus possible explanations that could cause it other than pregnancy.
Here are a few of the signs:
Tender/swollen breasts
Fatigue
Nausea
Frequent Urination
Light spotting
and of course the most obvious: Missed period.
The site also has links to order pregnancy tests, a suggested reading list about pregnancy and what to do next, and much other helpful information for all the stuff before, during, and after pregnancy.

Some early signs of pregnancy are as follows:
- Implantation Bleeding: Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.
- Delay/Difference in Menstruation: A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period. This symptom is commonly explained by other reasons. If you have been sexually active and have missed a period, it is recommended that you take a test: Order my pregnancy test
- Swollen/Tender Breasts: Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.
- Fatigue/Tiredness: Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.
- Nausea/Morning Sickness: This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.
- Backaches: Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.
- Headaches: The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.
- Frequent Urination: Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.
- Darkening of Areolas: If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.
- Food Cravings: While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

I had absolutely no early signs of pregnancy whatsoever, either time. Nothing, nada, nilch. The pregnancy tests were positive but I didn't truly believe it until I saw the babies for myself at my 12-week scans. No sickness, no swelling, nothing. Just a missed period.
So in answer to your question, there needn't necessarily be any signs at all.

Honestly every woman is different. I have a 7 year old and I had no signs at all with her. The only reason I knew I was pregnant is when I went for my annual check up and got the shock of my life, I was three months. I was still having my period and all. My period stopped into my forth month. Everything was great! I am now pregnant again. 5 weeks and I knew I was pregnant because I missed my cycle and I was having weird cravings, throwing up, headaches, just felt bad. So see EVERY pregnany and woman is different.

This site has a good list. Some of the early symptoms of pregnancy were a surprise to me and I have four children!
I don't remember frequent urination or backache, but they are on the list.

Missed period, not every woman has morning sickness but the vast majority of women do miss periods [in very rare pregnancy's women continue to have periods, but that is very rare.]. So don't hesitate if you have missed a period then have a test done. ....good luck sweetheart. take care
