i have a mini dv tape camcorder with usb fire wire and dv out whic is best to use to make dvd on ibm computer?

it depends upon what your computer has on it.. my computer uses the firewire port... and the computer software controls the camcorder to rewind, play, etc so that it can capture the video.

but.. i'm not familiar with the DV out options... if that would allow your computer to control the camera or not... or just be able to transfer the file.?
