My rabbits mate died recently and he is very sad. I know that they mate for life so if I find him a new one will he accept her or totally reject her?

Rabbits don't mate for life. You should go to the House Rabbit Society and find a local chapter. Don't buy from a breeder there are so many unwanted rabbits in the world that need a home.

Your rabbit will take time to get used to the new rabbit!
But it might not work out!

your rabbit will most likely reject it. Rabbits are very territorial and rarely enjoy living with more than one rabbit in their hutch or cage, so unless they have been together since birth they will fight and one will get severely hurt. your rabbit will not feel too lonely as long as you give him lots of attention and love.

rabbits don't mate for life. DUH! Were they breeding, or is he just lonely? Biologically rabbits don't NEED to mate, or have company, but they like attention.
