Has anyone tried the mineral make ups that are so popular now? If so, tell me how you like it, is it really as easy to apply as they make it out to be on those infomercials and how is the coverage?

I saw that Loreal has a mineral make up out in the drug stores now? Does it compare to the name brands?

I tried bare minerals 2 years ago...and i havent stopped using it since. I got hooked lol. The foundation takes a while at first, but after a week of putting it on, it takes five seconds to apply. The coverage is amazing; if you buy the concealer brush, it covers better than any cream foundation out on the market. Ive also tried the other "drug store" copies of it, theyre ok but are not as great. Bare minerals is 25 dollars for the foundation, but hte brushes are a lot, so id suggest buying the starter kit, which has all hte brushes, 2 mini-foundations, warmth(a bronzer) and mineral veil (covers pores and creates a softer more natural look) and its 60 dollars. The makeup is incredible, feels natural, looks natural, and nobody but me knows how bad my skin really looks. the big foundation lasts for months, becuase you only put a bit in hte cap to use at a time. then "swirl tap and buff" away!

I just started using the mineral foundation & blush. It is really easy to apply & the coverage is wonderful. I also use a rice powder for "setting" I got mine at a salon, so I'm not sure about the Loreal brand.
