Supernatural is defined by wikipedia as:
The supernatural (Latin:super- "exceeding"+nature) comprises forces and phenomena that cannot be perceived by natural or empirical senses, and whose understanding may be said to lie with religious, magical, or otherwise mysterious explanation —yet remains firmly outside of the realm of science. ...

By it's very nature the supernatural cannot now or ever be proven. Every story you hear has just enough loop holes that it could be true, or it might not. There is a reason no photographic evidence of ghosts, nessie, bigfoot, etc. exist, because they don't. I am a trained scientist. I have been tought to question everything that cannot be analytically proven, and for good reason.
By the same token, there are hundreds of cases in which creatures that were thought to be only myths have been proven to be living, breathing creatures. It was only this year that the first image of a live giant squid was captured. There are numerous other cases, but one of the best is that of the ceolocanth, afish thought extinct to the western world, but known well to indigenous peoples of the pacific rim and southeast coast of africa. Other cases, like the Loch Ness monster are pure, unadultarated bulls***. The idea of a sea creature holing up in a large lake for 365 million years is just ludicrous, and ecologically impossible. Were that the case, something, head, flipper, whole body would have washed up by now, and in this day of genetic testing, we would be able to verify its novel species status in a matter of minutes. But, nothing has, and nothing ever will. If you want to discover something new, look to the sea or an isolated island chain, not your local woods. It is entirely possible you could discover something new, and then you can name it after yourself or someone you care about, which is always fun.
The bottom line is, it you can give proof of something that the scientific community will not hold true, they will accept it. You prove no one wrong, only add to humanity's ever increasing store of knowledge.

Science is getting there. Recent discoveries pertaining to quantum physics and the M theory have opened many scientific eyes and minds to the idea of other dimensions co-existing with our perceptions of a three-dimensional world. I believe progressive scientists will be able to verify the existence of non-corporeal beings (ghosts) within a couple of decades (which the uber-religious will immediately proclaim are angels).
Until then, 'being there' is believing. I know ghosts exist because I have experienced the presence of ghosts so many times. Everyone does, I think, but a lot of people can't accept such an experience at a conscious level.

there is a way to get proof of real hauntings because every being(living or dead) gives off an electromagnetic feild, and uses the surrounding energy. spirits, however, use that energy to manifest itself. in doing that it's going to leave an area of a varying temperature that can be found ad recorded on an emf detector. also the use of voice recorders is a great way to find proof. this audio proof is called an evp which stands for electronic voice phenomena. all you have to do is ask a question and wait long enough to receive a possible answer . keep doing this until you've asked all the questions you wanted to ask. make sure (of course) that you're recording the ENTIRE TIME. you could also take pictures looking for any orbs, or random balls of light. also you should be looking for shadows, and/or mist in the photos because they all represent spirits. however, orbs are very difficult. they're difficult because they can be de-bunked, or proved logically, as dust, insets or the light from the flash of the camera itself. good luck. and hope you get your proof.

Good luck. Science demands repeatability on demand. That is something not possible when dealing with the supernatural. Sure, I've seen it rain all over a town except for the grounds of a church holding an 'Early California Days' celebration, and I've seen at least two lives saved through supernatural intervention, but I don't see any of those incidents as repeatable. Oh, well.....

I have seen and experienced lots of things, but can I prove it to you? Probably not. I do believe that if you learn to keep your mind open to the possibilities, but also allow reason to intervene, you will have many of your own experiences yourself and not need others to provide you with proof.

I would like to believe, but am Highly skeptical of any such phenomena (but I do believe in it's constitutional right to exist), however, if such things do exist why would they prove science wrong? Why couldn't they be explained by scientific means.

Proof is scientific evidence of what is natural.
By definition, if it can be proven, it is not supernatural.
If those things exist, then they are natural... and eventually we'll find a way to detect and prove their existence.

I can't give you proof but I can say that "absence of proof is not proof of absence."
