I'M PUERTO RICAN, AND I HOPE AND PRAY IT DOESN'T BECOME A STATE. A STUDY WAS DONE ON THE HAPPIEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, AND THE NUMBER ONE GROUP OF PEOPLE WAS PUERTO RICO WHO WERE THE HAPPIEST. WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE SUCH A DAMN PROBLEM WITH PUERTO RICO BEING A COMMONWEALTH. GUAM IS OWNED BY THE UNITED STATES, AND I HEAR NOTHING ABOUT IT BECOMING A STATE. IT'S BAD ENOUGH THAT PUERTO RICO HAS BECOME SO AMERICANIZED DUE THIS GREEDY COUNTRY, I FEEL THAT WE WILL COMPLETELY LOSE OUR CULTURE.

It is a beautiful latin american nation that has a political association with the US. Puerto Rico has beaches and huge chains of mountains all over the country. You have many options when traveling to Puerto Rico. You can be on the beach snorkling or enjoying a breathtaking view from the top a mountain peaks and enjoying a waterfall. The rich national culture and the unique cuisine are awesome.

I've been, It's a beautiful place, but the people are RUDE! I didn't feel comfortable at all. You go to a restaurant & THEY put down how much to tip!! Plus everything is a little expensive since they do not pay tax there. If they wanna be a state, tax'em and let'em come on in! We already let them come here leagaly without passport or customs, plus we protect them, so why not tax them & make it official???

It is another Caribbean Island. There are better places, and worse. It might be a good state, but most people living there would rather be free, or leave the status quo.

I THINK THAT THE NEXT TIME THE ISSUE COMES UP ON A VOTING BALLOT THE PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE TO VOTE TO BECOME A STATE OR BE COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT NOTHING IN BETWEEN .
