I am astonished at the gibberish being talked here. There is no question of Prince Charles's position being somehow legally undermined by his marriage. Under the Royal Marriages Act, if he had contracted a marriage without the consent of the Sovereign, he would have been removed from the succession. He did not. Under the Act of Succession and the Act of Settlement, if he had become a Catholic or had married a Catholic, he would be removed from the succession. He did not. Prince Charles will inherit the throne if he outlives his mother because, and only because, he is her heir. It's why she became Queen, when her father died, it's why her father becme king when his brother abdicated. He cannot decline the throne. It is his automatically and all he could do is abdicate. If every monarch who ever had an unhappy marriage or a messy affair was somehow removed from the succession, well, let's just say there wouldn't be too many who ever made it to the throne.

if Prince Charles is alive whilst Queen Elizabeth dies, he often is the subsequent King no buts approximately it. even though he if he replaced into mentally ill or abdicated then Prince William could exchange into King. The Royals with a stiff larger lip very, very infrequently ever provide up a throne voluntarily this is why the abdication of the inheritor, Edward back interior the 30's replaced into outrageous to all of britain. He abdicated so he ought to marry an American divorcee, Wallace Simpson. Royalty ought to no longer marry a woman who had for desire of a greater proper be conscious, been around the block some circumstances. via fact of this human beings despise Camilla Parker Bowels. She had an adulterous affair with Charles in the back of her husband's back and Diana's back and Diana replaced into like the virginal lamb delivered approximately the slaughter If those 2 had any guts they could have married interior the 1st place , advised the Queen to take a flying bounce and those style of lives would not be so completely broken, yet no Prince Tampon had to do what Mommy mentioned and marry a virgin. So 2 boys have no mom , the mor**n that brought about the full element gets to stay fortunately ever after along with his adulteress and Diana';s in her grave. I seems incorrect that the lily-livered adulterer gets to have the happy ending.

Yes, I would say that this is a distinct possibility. It would certainly solve the sensitive issue of whether Camilla should be queen and I think that deep down he believes that William is more "of the people" and will be better for the nation and monarchy than he would be.
Personally speaking, if the queen abdicates soon then I think Charles should be given a chance - true he may not have the social ease that William does and has a label of talking to flowers etc - but I think he also carries a lot of respect for his other work, The Princes Trust etc.

Unless Prince Charles voluntarily gave up his place in line to the throne, he will be the next sovereign after his mother. It's highly unlikely that he would give up his place so let's just say, barring any tragedy, that he will be King.
If Prince Charles were to die before his mother then Prince William would become King after his grandmother the Queen.

Not unless something goes horribly wrong- like Prince Charles dies, or the current person in the throne decides Charles can't or if Charles is somehow caught up in some thing that makes him give up the crown.

There's no chance of that. Charles has been raised as next in line to the throne. Look how seriously his Mother has taken being the monarch. She will never abdicate and neither will Charles when his time comes.

Personally, I hope that Charlie will flap his big ears hard enough to fly off to lands unknown & take that horse of a wife with him, never to be heard of again!
Seriously though, Charlie would have to refuse the throne, or die before the Queen dies / abdicates, for William to get straight to the throne after Lizzie.

Charles in first in line for the throne, therefore, if anything happens to the Queen, or she abdicates, he will become King, if he chooses not to reign and abdicates, then William would become King
