Plain text is like a regular email. HTML is where they send it through a program that is usually called "Adobe Reader". Plain text is the best way to go because you don't have to upload it.

Plain text is like what you get from Notepad or very simple word editors.. all you get is text.. very basic stuff..

HTML is HyperText Markup Language... and you get text that is formated in various sizes, colors, backgrounds.. you can get pictures.. basically what you can get.. is a webpage looking document instead of just a white piece of paper with black text on it.. much nicer to read.. sometimes..

When in doubt, click "plain text". HTML is a code that can get complicated. I hope this helps.

If you want to send/ recieve things other than plain text (no pictures or anything like color ) choose HTML.
It's the code used to send things other than text.
