About 280 million are celebrating the 4th... almost all of them American, since the 4th of July doesn't mean squat in the rest of the world. The big day for the Mexicans is May 5th, the French is Bastile Day and other nationalities celebrate their own independance day. It's only in America where the 4th of July is considered a day to get drunk and drive crazy while irritating their neighbors with fireworks at 2AM.

My husband has to work out of town through the week and is only home on the weekends. He will have to work Monday and can't come home for just one day on the 4th. So we might celebrate on a different day. Our town is having it's fireworks on the 3rd because people have to work the day after the 4th. I don't think that's right though.

I'll be celebrating on the 4th! Besides all of the firecrakers going off...that's the one day out of the year that you can eat bbq in your front yard in your underware. Isn't that normal? duh.
