And the person on the other end asks to speak to your mommy or daddy?
Does this happen to other people or just me?

all the time...i just tell them, "if you would like to speak to my mommy or daddy, you are going to have to call a totally different number"

I have had this happen a couple times because of my voice, even my husband says at times I sound like a little kid on the phone, I also look younger than I am so, to me this is a good thing, not a curse. enjoy it and have fun with it.

Ohhh that used to happen to a roommate of mine all the time... she was tiny and had a tiny voice. It was even better when a guy delivering something showed up -at the door- and asked her if he could talk to her parents. She explained that she was an adult and took the package... I just about died laughing. I couldn't help it! I think she hit me with something shortly after that. ;)

no, I have the opposite problem. if I ever answer the phone at my parents place, the person on the other end (even if it's a friend of mine) will often talk to me as though I were my father!

has happened to me few times and it is quite flattering at first then it just gets bit annoying!
just means we are youthful sounding! that or we are babyish..... im going for the youthful option....

i have also had someone ask to speak to 'my wife' when im clearly female so i think thats twice as bad, think i would rather be thought of as a child than as a man!!

no offence to men meant!

It's been a couple years since that happened, but that's funny cause I haven't thought of that in a while.
